About me
Welcome! I am a Computational Materials Scientist within the XCP-5: Materials and Physical Data group at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. My research interests include multiscale mechanics of materials, computational method development, applications of machine learning to mechanics based problems, and planetary sciences.
I received my Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Before joining LANL, I was an Associate Professor in Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University with an adjunct appointment in the Department of Geosciences.
My research work has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Army Research Laboratory, Army Research Office, and Los Alamos National Laboratories. My students have received financial support from the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship (NDSEG), NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF-GRFP), and Department of Defense Science Mathematics and Research for Transformation (DoD-SMART) fellowship program.
